- Please read Matthew 5-7 in one sitting using a modern translation (NIV; The Message; The Amplified Bible; an Audio version, etc.) Try to envision hearing these words for the very first time; try to wrap your mind around Christ’s “Sermon on the Mount” and exactly what He was wanting to teach His disciples.
- Read Matthew 5:3-11 three times, in three different translations and then write out each one of the Beatitudes in your own words as if you were explaining each of them to a new believer or one of your own children.
